Bike to Work Day is an annual event held each spring across the United States and Canada that promotes the bicycle as an option for commuting to work. Leading up to Bike to Work Day, national, regional, and local bicycle advocacy groups encourage people to try bicycle commuting as a healthy and safe alternative to driving by providing route information and tips for new bicycle commuters. Bikeatoga is an active supporter of the Bike to Work initiative in our community.

Friday May 17, 2013 is Bike to Work Day. Bikeatoga will once again sponsor the Saratoga Bike to Work Challenge. Teams are forming to compete for the GearHead, SteerHead, and Chrome Crank trophies. Breakfast will be served at the Arts Center on the corner of Broadway and Spring Street from 6:30 am to 9:00 am. Spa City Bicycleworks at 79 Beekman Street will host a Bike to Work Day party after work starting at 5:00 pm. |
